Empowering Youth

Raleigh County United for Prevention is proud to sponsor and support the vital work of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) in our community. SADD chapters in Raleigh County are dedicated to empowering young people to make safe and healthy choices, fostering a culture of positive decision-making that resonates throughout our schools and neighborhoods. Our partnership ensures that local students have the resources and platforms they need to address critical issues facing their peers.

Under the guidance of dedicated leaders like Raleigh County SADD Coordinator Kelly Elkins, our local SADD chapter actively engages in meaningful prevention campaigns. A recent example of their impactful work includes teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for the "Project Red Ribbon (Tie One On for Safety)" initiative. Such collaborations highlight the commitment of our youth to promoting responsible behavior, especially concerning impaired driving, and underscore their role as powerful advocates for safety.
